Media relations

Journalistic PR is our DNA. We look at your organisation and its stories with a journalist’s eye. We develop those stories into bite-sized, newsworthy pieces of information and pitch them to the right journalist at the perfectly timed moment. We do this in the broadest possible sense, from press releases to opinion pieces to press moments that we prepare together down to the last detail. We closely follow what appears in the (social) media about your organisation, field or expertise. Not only to be able to react faster to a topical subject, but also to monitor the impact of your reputation. Would you like to discuss how we can support you with your communication approach? Feel free to reach out to us.

Cases

KBVB

At the Royal Belgian Football Association , following a turbulent period with first the dismissal of CEO Peter Bossaert and then the resignation of chairman Paul Van den Bulck, the country’s largest sports organization wanted to proceed with caution for the first public appearance of the new chairwoman, Pascale Van Damme. The Bepublic team prepared the first female football president in history with well-chosen key messages, a to-the-point Q&A including camera training, and by focusing with her on her authentic story and how to restore unity within the KBVB. Thanks to our journalistic perspective and our experts, Van Damme passed her baptism of fire in front of a large media gathering, some of whom literally mentioning in their reports that Van Damme left a very well-prepared impression.

ERA Barometer

The anniversary edition of the ERA Barometer took place at the beginning of this year. For the 20th time, ERA and Professor of Real Estate Economics, Sven Damen, looked back on the past real estate year in Flanders and, for the second time, on the Walloon market, with Damen analyzing data from thousands of real estate transactions at ERA. As in previous years, this generated a great deal of media press coverage, with publications and reports in many national and regional media outlets. We organized a press event, sought out cases which TV crews could film, coined regional approaches so that we could also provide the regional media with tailor-made news, and so forth. It was a success!

Circus Cup

Standard Liège and sponsor Circus organized the Circus Cup, a gala match featuring renowned soccer stars for a local charity. The challenge: the Circus Cup took place right after the Champions League final and right before the European Football Championship. Therefore, we opted for an extensive, layered press campaign to try and fill the stadium. First, we announced the gala match with two star teams captained by Alessandro Del Piero and Edgar Davids. We then released new names one by one. And we organized a press conference where the press had the opportunity to interview Del Piero. Interest was very high, with the presence of a lot of national media and regional Liège media. Thanks to the many publications and marketing campaigns, more than 15,000 football fans attended the matches.

LAGO Eupen

The opening of Lago Eupen was more than just the inauguration of a new swimming pool: it became a powerful symbol of recovery for a region that still bears the scars of the catastrophic floods of July 2021. Where the water had once caused devastation, a place was now opening where people could come together again in the water. That symbolic message was central in our PR approach. A classic story about infrastructure was intertwined with a socially relevant narrative in which resilience, progress, and collective pride prevailed. In that sense, the PR campaign was not only meaningful but also sustainable: it helped shape a new chapter for Eupen, with water as the connecting force.
